Vaman



Vaman is the unique procedure of eliminating the elevated doshas(toxins) from the body through the oral route by way of inducing vomiting. Kapha dosha is best eliminated by this procedure.In this treatment, a patient is given inside and outside olation(massage) and fomentation(steam) treatments for few days which includes therapies and some ayurvedic medicines. Once the toxins get melted and accumulate in upper cavities of body, the patient is given emetic medicines and decoction. This enables vomiting and helps in expelled of the elevated doshas(toxins) from the body tissues.

Virechan



Evacuation of the fecal matter and other accumulation of elevated pitta dosha(toxins) in the lower gastrointestinal tract through the anal route is a virechan procedure. Among the three doshas ,the morbid accumulation of pitta dosha is best eliminated by this procedure. In this treatment , the patient is given inside and outside oleation (massage) and fomentation(steam) treatments. At the day of virechan, the patient is given a natural purgative to encourage clearing of the guts that aides in purifying the body of toxins.

Basti



The administration of the liquid medicine through the rectal, urethral or vaginal route is collectively referred by the name basti. Basti is said to have edge over any other purification therapy. Basti is described as the best line of treatment to cure the imbalance of vata dosha. Managing medicated substances through enema is Ayurveda's exceptional commitment to the therapeutic world. The treatment has huge advantages, particularly in convoluted and chronic diseases. According to the nature of disease, home grown decoctions, oils, ghee or milk are managed into the rectum or genitourinary tract using Vastiyantra and this has incredible positive effects. The basti is of two types -niruha in which the decoction was used and anuvasan in which the medicated oils are used.

Nasya



The administration of the medicine through nasal route is nasya therapy. As this is the nearest route, the diseases related to head is best treated by this therapy. This treatment is extremely effective in clearing and purging the head area. At the beginning of the treatment, the head and shoulder areas are given a delicate massage and fomentation. After that, nasal drops are regulated in both the nostrils. This achieves the cleaning of the whole head area

Raktamokshan



The procedure of allowing the blood to bleed for therapeutic purposes is a raktamokshan therapy. Raktamokshana, the bloodletting procedure is a kind of para surgery used especially for the treatment of Raktadusti (blood-borne disorders).This treatment is useful for cleaning of blood and viable against ailments caused because of impure blood. It can be done in a particular area or for the whole body. This therapy is done to remove the accumulated pitta dosha mainly.It is done by various methods like siravedh, jalaukacharan etc.
